I forgot that we squashed commits instead of merging in this repo, which means the self-referential files I had setup in #1162 point to a untethered commit. The files are still reachable but I prefer to point to a commit reachable from master.
I'm setting up two-hops cors tests, which also require pointing at a commit.
And I'm adding a test I had forgotten.
