Since we want to add user mentions in comments (see #2335), we'll need a way to parse the comment text and check for some rules. The first thing that comes to mind is modifying the comments engine and, on the CreateComment command, run some parsers on the body text. The comments engine could be extended by other engines by adding a class name to an array. The idea is the same as what we're using to add abilities from other components.

Then each component (proposals, in this case), would add a parser class that would receive the comment text and return a modified text. This would be useful, for example, to:

Change emoji names to emoji images :smile: could be changed to its image (😄 )
Add user mentions: look for @something in the text, fid a user with username `"something", replace the text by a link to their profile and send a notification to the user
Link to proposals and notify their authors: same as user mentions, but checking for URLs matching a proposal, and notify its author.

You could think about doing this in JS, but:

Replacing text in JS we would not be able to send notifications, we'd still need to parse the text from the backend
We currently don't have a way to add more external files to the comments bundle.js

I think replacing the text with HTML in the backend and save this new version of the text (the parsed one) is a good solution. @decidim/developers thoughts on this? 😄
