@ahukkanen is proposing to get rid of drawers (or at least that is the conclusion I get from his comments - see #9830 (comment) #9830 (review), #9884 (comment) and others). The main objection is that to comply with accesibility requirements we have to do a hack to respect the hierarchy of the headings. This adds up to the usability issues we have been talking about in @decidim/product
I'm opening this to document a definitive decision regarding the use of the drawer:
- Get rid of the drawer. This will require more design work (not much) and throwing away lots of development hours already invested.
- Maintain the drawer, and live with the hack, assume we'll have to invest more to maintain accesibility, and accept that probably we won't achieve perfect accessibility.
