- To look like a retro radio
- To be able to stream a large variety of radio stations
- To find and add new stations from a variety of sources
- To provide FFT waterfall and scope visualisations
- To be able to connect to a ham radio server and tune around and stream in a variety of modes
- To be able to be hosted from a small device such as a Raspberry Pi
- To engage the radio listening community
- To be a replacement for WebSDR (which still isn't open source).
