It's becoming increasingly common for developers to work with multiple AI code-gen (and review) CLIs. CLIs now exist for the express purpose of stack consolidation - bundling or wrapping access to CLIs for the purpose of convenience.
The most headline-grabbing examples of AI assisted code gen and "vibe coding" have been AI IDEs - although this is far from the totality of tools (in fact, there are many more CLI agents than there are GUIs). As bringing a full-fledged IDE to market is a lot of work, this is a narrower selection, but not a stagnant one. This category includes cloud-sourced tools as well as open source.
