I have observed this as well in an area with high amounts of device traffic. Morning rush hour on the train with loads of people and devices, my Airpods Max 2s would suddenly pause and unpause despite the in ear detection not working normally. It's only happened to me once, though. |

The AirPods report the "in ear state" per AirPod. What you describe sounds plausible, in crowded environments a nearby BLE advertisement could be mistakenly taken as yours for a short moment. The real solution would be to setup the IRK/ENC key for your profile so CAPod can identify your pods, or on newer devices to use the AAP connection. I'm going to add a small tweak in #559 that should cause CAPod to not pause if it received 1-2 rouge BLE advertisement packets. |

Hello, thanks for this app! I've been using it for a little while and I've noticed today I've been running into an issue where my music kept randomly pausing - it took me a while to diagnose why but I noticed that the CAPod notification was reporting "Not being worn" even though my AirPods were in my ears
If I were to speculate on why, which is that today I've been in central London which I'd expect is a high RF interference environment and while it's not enough to cause actual connectivity problems for the audio connection, the BTLE connections CApod uses are being affected and the app is interpreting no response or a timeout as the same as the AirPods not being worn - I'm not sure how CAPod checks the status of the AirPods (if there is actually a worn status reported by the AirPods, or you have to rely on them not responding) so I wanted to open this as a question and not an issue, but if it is the former, it would make sense to only pause when you get the confirmation the AirPods aren't being worn instead of just connection being lost
