Windows OS version
Windows 11 24H2/25H2
ImageGlass version
9.3.1.518
ImageGlass release
Classic
1️⃣ Describe the feature
I've noticed that ImageGlass v9.3.1.518 does not currently support HDR (High Dynamic Range) image output, which limits its ability to properly display a wider range of brightness and colors—especially in AVIF format. While I haven’t tested all HDR image formats (HEIC, EXR, JXR, PSD, DDS, JXL, etc.), AVIF images are displayed without HDR effects, making it clear that the high dynamic range is not being properly represented.
Figure 1:

This example is an approximation, as the uploaded image is SDR (Standard Dynamic Range). In true HDR mode, the same image looks significantly better when viewed in Bandisoft Pro.
Figure 2: (Here is the original AVIF-HDR.avif 3.46MB - just remove the .JPG to test on your machine)

Additionally, I've noticed that JXL images appear pale, lacking the expected richness in color.
Figure 3:

Despite these limitations, ImageGlass remains an excellent application, and I truly appreciate its functionality.
Hopefully, HDR support can be included in future updates, allowing users to fully experience high dynamic range images in AVIF and other formats.
