2 icons too many; Dark square "spot" on screen's upper-left corner by clicking icon (Linux Mint 19.3 Cinnamon) #1113

I use a vertical panel and I always try to minimize the number of icons it shows.

After the update there's this icon I don't know what for:

cryptomator

Whenever I click it it shows a "spot" that disappears only when I "show desktop" (Windows key + D). Is there a way to hide that icon?

There are 3 Cryptomator icons in my limited vertical panel now: those two in the above screenshot and the "pixelated/strange icon," shown here, on the other end of the panel.

On the "pixelated/strange icon": Sometimes it becomes a black square (like that of KeePass2's):

cryptomator 2

The above icon still works, though--upon right-clicking, the menu appears as it usually does. (Off-topic comment: Increasing this menu's font size wouldn't hurt.)

Before the update there was only one icon. Due to my propensity for "minimalist" UI, I really prefer that. I don't really mind how things look as long as they just work.

I have 2 PC's on the same OS. Same outcome.

Thank you.
