Describe the issue

1. Go to https://codemirror.net/examples/decoration/
2. All the way at the bottom, place the cursor after the first word Dear
3. Now hold down Shift and keep pressing the right arrow until you pass the word name
4. Stop 0 or more characters after the word name. You should have [[name]] selected
5. Now press Shift and left arrow.

You would expect that the selection will move left before the word name, but it doesn't.

This is not blocking me, I just randomly stumbled on it when reading the docs.
