Selection Background Stuck on iOS #1600

Describe the issue
On the official demo website on iOS in Safari, when i enter a decent amount of text (some longer lines as well), and select a few lines and then tap outside the selection, the cursor moves but the selection background stays stuck (see image).
It only happens on iOS.
