Description
What is your situation?
Seeing about 5-10k qps dip in performance on the same machine shapes and identical setup compared to 20.1.5
Select all that apply:
- is there a difference between the performance you expect and the performance you observe?
- do you want to improve the performance of your app?
- are you surprised by your performance results?
Observed performance
What did you see? How did you measure it?
If you have already ran tests, include your test details here:
- which test code do you use? YCSB workloada
- how many clients per node? none, clients are external to the nodes
- how many requests per client / per node? 128 threads across 3 clients
Application profile
Performance depends on the application. Please help us understand how you use CockroachDB before we can discuss performance.
- What is the storage profile? Tested with Pebble and Rocks on 20.2 beta 1.
- how many nodes? 9
- how much storage? 6TB capacity
- how much data? 5min load
- replication factor? 3
Requested resolution
When/how would you consider this issue resolved?
Select all that applies:
- I seek guidance as to how to tune my application or CockroachDB deployment.
- I want CockroachDB to be optimized for my use case.
Repro steps are described in the following document
