I do think "less is more" to some degree with these testing permutations, as the vast majority of the time we catch unrelated low-probability failures due to the sheer number of times we run CI. For platform-specific issues, just a few runs will likely provide us the data we need. The older versions are likely to have less churn and then be less likely to introduce new platform-related failures.

@Artyop I marked this as a backport/author as the matrix of the v1.18 and v1.17 are diverged from the main and I'm not certain which parameters should be kept/removed. |
