Describe the Bug

I installed Cider from the Taproom repositories, but playerctl doesn't recognize it as an MPRIS application; playerctl -l returns that there are no available clients. I also tried with the AppImage, but it's the same problem.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open Cider and start playing;
  2. execute playerctl -l into a terminal;
  3. try to press Play/Pause or Next or Prev without success.
