Would it be possible to have 14.2.13 be a normal release, not a "hotfix"? We have the ceph-volume batch refactor merged into nautilus, and would like to get it out.

Added @LenzGr as a reviewer since I gather there are some dashboard PRs merged into nautilus and awaiting release as well.

I'd support shipping the ceph-volume change too. In this case there is a release notes entry waiting at https://github.com/ceph/ceph/blob/nautilus/PendingReleaseNotes#L4

@zdover23 @djgalloway any clues to why the readthedocs jobs are failing, can we retrigger?

Looks like RTD is having issues right now. We can ignore it I think.

@jdurgin In https://tracker.ceph.com/issues/46875#note-4 you wrote that #36839 - the fix for https://tracker.ceph.com/issues/46875 - should be backported because the bug was seen in the make check run on this PR, but this PR targeted master, not nautilus.

In the meantime, I created the backport tickets on https://tracker.ceph.com/issues/46875 and @dillaman rejected them (rightfully it seems, since those backports could not possibly fix the make check failure seen in this PR).

It would seem that #36839 did not actually fix https://tracker.ceph.com/issues/46875? Maybe it should be reopened?

It fixed it -- since that particular issue was only applicable on the master branch due to changes with incorporating ASIO. Re-opening the ticket would honestly serve no purpose since there is no bug (that I know of) on the master branch (nor on the octopus branch).

Whoops, my mistake. Thanks for clarifying @smithfarm

@dillaman that failure was seen on this PR yesterday, are you saying it's already fixed?

@jdurgin Sorry -- you wrote in the ticket that failure was seen in nautilus (not master). Are you saying it happened in the master branch instead?

@dillaman yes, I was confused because it was release notes for nautilus, but it was on the master branch

@dillaman The instance of https://tracker.ceph.com/issues/46875 was seen right here in this PR. As I write this, Jenkins has not yet deleted the console log - https://jenkins.ceph.com/job/ceph-pull-requests/62883/ - though I expect it to disappear soon. I made a less ephemeral copy of it, which is available here [1] if you're interested.
