BBH Lite is a lightweight, responsive WordPress theme built for performance, accessibility, and modern editing workflows. It supports the block editor with wide and full alignment, is compatible with Elementor and WooCommerce, and includes a multi-level navigation system, widgetized footer, and featured-image-based layouts for posts and pages.

- Navigation: Multi-level dropdown menus with CSS + vanilla JavaScript, full keyboard navigation (Arrow keys, Escape, Tab), touch support, and mobile full-screen overlay with smooth slide-in animation
- Widget Areas: Main sidebar and four footer widget columns. Manage via Appearance > Widgets.
- Customizer: Editable copyright text with dynamic year and site name placeholders, footer widget toggle, and five social media link controls (Facebook, Twitter/X, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube)
- Post & Page Hero: Featured image displays as a full-width hero with title and meta data overlaid on a dark gradient. Falls back to a clean title bar when no image is set.

- In your WordPress admin, navigate to Appearance > Themes.
- Click Add New, then Upload Theme.
- Choose the
bbh-lite.zipfile and click Install Now. - Click Activate after installation completes.
- Go to Appearance > Customize to configure the theme settings.
Manual Installation:
- Download the theme and extract the
bbh-litefolder. - Upload the folder to
/wp-content/themes/via FTP or your hosting file manager. - Navigate to Appearance > Themes in WordPress admin and click Activate on BBH Lite.
After Activation:
- Upload your logo via Appearance > Customize > Site Identity.
- Set your site icon (favicon) in the same section.
- Assign menus in Appearance > Menus for Primary and Footer locations.
- Configure footer content and social links under Appearance > Customize > Footer Builder.
- Add widgets to the sidebar and footer columns under Appearance > Widgets.
Yes. BBH Lite is compatible with the Elementor page builder. Theme locations for header, footer, single post, and archive are registered so you can build custom layouts with Elementor Theme Builder.
Yes. The theme supports block styles, theme.json v2, wide/full alignment, block patterns, custom spacing units (px, em, rem, %, vh, vw), and appearance tools. The block editor styles match the front-end design.
No. All front-end JavaScript is written in vanilla JavaScript with no jQuery dependency. jQuery is only loaded within the Customizer preview for live-preview updates (admin-only, does not affect front-end performance).
Navigate to Appearance > Customize > Footer Builder and enter the full URL for each social platform you want to display: Facebook, Twitter/X, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube. Icons appear automatically.
Go to Appearance > Customize > Footer Builder and enter your custom text in the Copyright Text field. Use {{year}} for the current year and {{site}} for your site name. Leave it empty to use the default format.
Yes. BBH Lite registers five widget areas: one main sidebar and four footer columns. Manage them via Appearance > Widgets.
When editing a page, look for Page Attributes in the right sidebar. Under Template, select Full Width. This removes the sidebar and gives you a full-width canvas for the block editor. You can also check the Hide page title checkbox to hide the page title on the front end.
Yes. The theme uses the bbh-lite text domain throughout. A POT file is included in the languages folder. You can create .po and .mo files for your language using tools like Poedit. RTL languages are supported with the included rtl.css file.
BBH Lite includes accessibility-focused features such as keyboard navigation, skip links, and ARIA attributes to enhance usability for a wide range of users.
- System Fonts: The theme uses system font stacks (-apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, Segoe UI, Roboto, Oxygen-Sans, Ubuntu, Cantarell, Helvetica Neue, sans-serif) which are pre-installed on users' devices and require no licensing.
- Social Icons: SVG icons for Facebook, Twitter/X, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube are from simpleicons.org (CC0 1.0 Universal License).
- Navigation Icons: The hamburger menu icon, search icon, scroll-to-top chevron, and close icons are custom SVG paths created by the theme author (CC0 1.0 Universal License).
