This PR follows our Release Process and concludes the translation-specific efforts for this release cycle. It follows two previous translation-related PRs, #34525 and bitcoin-core/gui#931.

It is one of the steps required before branch-off, as scheduled in #33607.

A previous similar PR: #33275.

A Note for reviewers:
The actual translations on Transifex is a moving target. As a result, your diff after running bitcoin-maintainer-tools/update-translations.py may differ.

Hi @hebasto Thanks for this. I’ve checked the LLM suggestions the first time around and fixed what needed to be then. Whatever the LLM results now, remember that LLM are not always right, can miss context, terminology, TM, and style. LLM suggestions are just not always adequate :)

Thanks. I have been following it and adjusting the fo translation in the past weeks. The LLM, previously, caught my spelling mistakes, which have been adressed, along with various other issues.

Summary regarding the current fo ones.

  • The LLM often suggests using "Pungur", or even "Lummi", for "Wallet". "Pungur" (purse) has a physical meaning to it, and a "money-wallet" is very rarely, if at all anymore, referred to as "pungur". "Lummi" means pocket. The common spoken word is "Mappa", short from "Pengamappa" ("money-purse"). "Directory", which is also commonly referred to as "Mappa", has been translated to a more formal word "Skjátta", in order to not be ambiguous with "Wallet/Mappa".
  • Quite a few UNK_LANG, not familiar with the Faroese language 'fo'. errors
  • To some tooltips, I have specified for example, to "Browse transaction history, for the selected wallet", in order to reduce ambiguity. The LLM dislikes this.
  • The LLM suggests using "Flyt" (literally move), for "Migrate". It does not fit in the context. In general, I translated it to "Uppstiga mappuforsnið", which is more akin to "Upgrade wallet format".
  • A few typos have been adressed.

Yeah, I am currently using gemini-3-flash, because it is fast and I only seem to have very limited access to gemini-3-pro. In the past I've seen better results with the -pro model for Faroese, but it is down right now: ... [{"error":{"code":503,"message":"This model is currently experiencing high demand. Spikes in demand are usually temporary. Please try again later.","status":"UNAVAILABLE"}}]

LLMs are still experimental, so I think it is fine to ignore for now. Hopefully for the 32.0 release, the pro model is back up 🤷‍♂️

I have made a few adjustments where needed. However, the Basque translation (eu.md) is not entirely accurate in some parts and tends to use quite colloquial language, which may not be the best fit in this context.
Thanks a lot for the work really appreciate the effort , @hebasto and @maflcko !

I take it this isn't for merge, if it's waiting for upstream updates? (moved to draft)
