Pasting alien emoji into Text box crashes Bambu studio #8728

Description

Bambu Studio Version

2.3.1.51

Where is the application from?

Bambu Lab Official website

OS version

OSX 26.1

Additional system information

No response

Printer

Bambu Lab X1

Printer Firmware Version

01.10.00.00

How to reproduce

  1. Take my Alien emoji here 👽 and copy it into your clipboard.
  2. Open Bambu Studio and Create New Project to get an empty project in Prepare mode.
  3. Right-click on the plate and Add Primitive and select Cube
  4. In Prepare mode, go to Text Shape
  5. Give focus to the Input Text box
  6. Clear the text with delete (seems to work OK if you paste-to-append existing text?)
  7. Paste the alien 👽 emoji

That crashes Bambu Studio.
For 3 above, I think just the project must be non-empty. I think you can load any STL or any primitive. I could repeat it in difference ways, except empty.

For 1 above, maybe other emojis do it, but I prefer to think that it's the Alien 👽 is doing it.

I've repeated it with no other objects than the Text, but not so reliably.

Actual results

It crashes with an OSX crash dialog. There might be a brief tooltip change saying what is said in Expected Results, but it goes by too fast.

Expected results

Not crashing. Just do not accept the pasted input (or sanitize it?), like the point-and-click dialogs.

When this is done on an empty project, the input is rejected with a tooltip Unsupported characters automatically switched to fallback font

Project file & Debug log uploads

This is a UI issue. I can reproduce with an empty project.
