Bambu Studio Version
2.2.2.56
Where is the application from?
Bambu Lab Official website
OS version
Windows 11
Additional system information
No response
Printer
X1C
How to reproduce
- Fresh install of Windows 11.
- Install Bambu Studio
- do not log into bambu account
- Add printer with access code
- close bambu studio
- reopen
- check device page
Actual results
There is no printer listed.
Looking at the config only the printer access code and its serial is saved but not its hostname or IP address.
Expected results
This makes bambu studio very tedious to use and it used to work just fine before I reinstalled the system. Logging into bambu account is not acceptable solution. No internet on said machine and that is preferred.
Improvement suggestion: Allow to pair via hostname or ip address, not just the ip because DHCP exists and save it in the config please. The hostname the printer should claim when registering on DHCP can be the serial number. That is what my dell (paper) printer does and it works flawlessly and I am not forced to lock in IP addresses in the DHCP server.
Also if possible activate at least one printer on startup. It used to be default that if you have 1 printer it would be always activated on the device page.
