What were you searching in the docs?

There were some changes(#4864) made to the deployment workflows which would now change the process of releasing a new version slightly. This hasn't been updated in the Maintainer's playbook yet.

How can we improve?

There is no need to run the layer publish workflow separately on Gamma and Prod. It should now only be run once for a specific partition. So, we can remove the steps to run it on Gamma and Prod.
