Continuation of #1582
Fixes warnings and missed items discovered by replacing
SimplePrincipalCollection with ImmutablePrincipalCollection inside core

TODO:

• fix test deprecations
• move code from [#1548] - redefines PrincipalCollection interface to be intended as immutable #1582 to assertj
• check the rest of the code besides core/

Trivial changes like typos do not require a GitHub issue (javadoc, comments...).
In this case, just format the pull request title like [DOC] - Add javadoc in SessionManager.
