Enhancement Request

In 3.x branch, Karaf is now disabled due to not compiling.
It's dependencies, features and configuration needs to be updated

Describe the solution you'd like

Currently, Karaf modules are disabled (in the deferred-for-3x profile) which is not enabled by default.
After it's fixed, it needs to be re-enabled
