Shame it wasn't picked up earlier, but agreed we need to get this in to NB26.

We also need to make this not necessary in future*, which is something discussed on Slack, but should target NB27 now. We need an additional method in GradleDistributionManager that just parses https://services.gradle.org/versions/current rather than https://services.gradle.org/versions/all ? Then this can be passed in to https://docs.gradle.org/current/javadoc/org/gradle/tooling/GradleConnector.html#useGradleVersion(java.lang.String) for the init task.

* - which is not to say we shouldn't keep the tooling updated on each available release, just that if it misses freeze it's less of an issue.
