Guillaume Nodet opened MNG-8503 and commented

The MavenBaseLogger is a clone of the slf4j simple logger.
However, it slightly differs, so I think we should further own it and change the configuration bits to primarily support maven.logger.\* properties and fallback to old org.slf4j.simpleLogger.\* with a warning.

Also rename the logging config file (while still supporting the old one).
