The conda packages for PyArrow will soon be split up (See ML discussion)and the documentation for installing from conda should be updated. There may be other docs worth updating so that should be looked into as well.
It might be good to get this in for 16.0.0 but the timing of this should take the timing of the new packages becoming available on conda-forge into account.
