I was wrong about this, it is supported in Arrow. Addressed in PR: #12433

Base R support this, but currently Arrow does {}not{}.

a <- as.POSIXct("2022-02-25 00:00:01", tz = "Europe/London")
as.Date(a, tz = "Pacific/Marquesas") 
#> [1] "2022-02-24"
