Problem Statement

Allow configuring which Claude account to use per project directory, so users with separate work/personal accounts don't accidentally use the wrong one. Similar to how Git supports per-repo user.email config.

Proposed Solution

I believe that the best way to manage that would be in .claude project folder.

Use Case Example

I have my private subscription with Claude Code, and my company just provided me with a company subscription.

I cannot use my company subscription on my private projects and for that, currently I need to be logging out and logging back in using correct account.

This is prune for errors as I might mistakly forget and use wrong account, either spending my tonkens on my company messy project or using company account on my personal projects.
