Describe the enhancement you want to request
- Create an OpenAI key
- Use
/connectand select OpenAI - Put in the OpenAI key
- Select GPT-5.2 Pro
Everything looks swell at this stage, but my account was actually on Free and I didn't realize it. Only in the next /new and sending in a message I get an API error trying to use the model.
IMO OpenCode should try to use the model when I select it (including using /models) to verify the setup works so I can fix it then and there instead of finding out later.
