The AMP project is aiming to provide a better experience for consuming video in AMP documents. This includes features such as auto playing video, detaching videos from the scroll position and supporting analytics for video.

The planned features require a better awareness of AMP of the video playing status across all AMP elements that support video.

AMP supports a wide variety of video players, and we'd like to unify their treatment in AMP. If you are responsible for a video player please read the doc below and comment on whether:

• this makes sense from your point of view.
• this can be implemented with your video player.
• we are missing something that is important with respect to video in your experience.
• anything else that might be relevant.
