RC 28 resumes tuning from pre-snapped frequency when Auto-snap is enabled and knob is rotated again #3939

Report preparation

  • I used the AI-assisted bug report tool (Help → Support → File an Issue)
  • I have attached a support bundle or log file

What happened?

The new RC-28 external knob auto-snap tuning that rounds the tuned frequency to the nearest 1 kHz doesn't continue from the snapped frequency when the knob is rotated again after the snap occurs. Instead of tuning from the 1 kHz-aligned frequency when it is turned, it starts from the original pre-snapped frequency.

What did you expect?

Tuning starts at the frequency on the flag even after a snap to 1 kHz event has happened.

Steps to reproduce

Enable the Auto-snap to nearest 1 kHz after rotation stops setting in the Icom RC-28 Button Mapping dialog
Set step-size to 100 in the RX Controls dialog box
Tune to a frequency just off by a couple hundred hz from 1 kHz boundary and stop rotation such as stop at 14.250.2
Tuned frequency snaps to 14.250.0 Mhz
Rotate knob clockwise after the snap and the first frequency change is a switch to 14.250.2 Mhz. Stop rotation at 14.250.3 Mhz and it snaps back to 14.250.0
Rotate knob counter clockwise after the snap, which should decrease the frequency to 14.249.9, but it tunes first to 14.250.3, then continues downward as the counter clockwise rotation continues.
