What
Support standard CW prosigns (BT, SK, AR, KN, etc.) in the CWX keyboard input and macro slots.
Why
Prosigns are essential for proper CW operation. Operators expect to be able to type common prosigns and have them sent as merged characters rather than individual letters.
Suggested Behavior
- Prosigns entered as common shorthand in the text input, e.g.
= for BT, + for AR, % for SK
- Alternatively, bracket notation:
<BT>, <SK>, <AR>, <KN>
- Works in both live keyboard input and stored macros
- Reference SmartSDR's CWX prosign handling for exact syntax
Protocol
cwx send likely handles prosigns natively if sent in the correct format — needs testing against the radio
