What happened?
In AetherSDR v26.5.2.1, local CW sidetone works correctly when using either:
However, when CW is transmitted through the CAT interface (rigctrld), no local sidetone is generated.
This creates a usability issue for external logging/contest software that sends CW macros via CAT, since the operator cannot hear the transmitted CW locally.
What did you expect?
CW transmitted via CAT (rigctrld) should generate the same local sidetone as CW generated through the MIDI key or CMX paths.
Steps to reproduce
- Start AetherSDR v26.5.2.1
- Enable rigctrld CAT interface
- Connect using telnet: telnet localhost <CAT_PORT>
- Send a CW test command: b test
- Observe:
* CW is transmitted
* No local sidetone is heard
