What happened?
In Client Side mode, Recording a short capture of audio with the button on the tuning "flag" saves audio to a .wav file on the PC which sounds fine using an external player. However when the playback button the the tuning flag is pressed the audio is choppy. This is consistent across multiple Windows 11 PC's on a good LAN connection. I tested on Linux Mint and the playback audio is fine. This issue is not new, it's been around for several weeks across multiple releases.
What did you expect?
Clean audio on playback
Steps to reproduce
- Tune to a strong SSB signal
- All DSP filters are off
- Press the recording button and then again to stop recording after a few seconds.
- In file explorer, click on the generated .wav file - audio playback is clean
- Press the play button on the tuning flag and audio is choppy.
- Happens on audio compression set to Uncompressed or Opus
- Happens with Flex firmware 4.15 or 4.2.18
