Bug Report: Sidebar Pin State Not Restored on Load

Description

The sidebar "pin" toggle remembers that it was clicked (the UI correctly shows "Unpin" on next load), but the sidebar itself always starts collapsed regardless of the pinned state.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Expand the sidebar
2. Click "Pin" to pin it open
3. Reload the page
4. Sidebar starts collapsed, but the toggle shows "Unpin" — state is half-persisted

Expected Behavior

If the sidebar was pinned open, it should start expanded on page load.

Actual Behavior

Sidebar always starts collapsed. The pin/unpin label persists correctly but the actual open/collapsed state does not.
