Widgets
Widgets are pieces of code that can be added to specific locations in the uStore theme, to allow the storefront to support new functionality with great flexibility.
Previously, to enhance the functionality of the AquaBlue theme, you had to create a custom theme. For example, footer, promotional text or banner, could only be added by creating a custom theme.
From uStore version 16.1, the AquaBlue theme comes with the option to add these features to designated areas of the storefront in the form of widgets. All you must do is connect a widget to a location and set its values.
Read more about managing widgets in the uStore user guide. Or watch the widget video on XMPe Campus.
XMPie provides official widgets for the storefront. These widgets are roduction-ready and supported by XMPie. Download them and use them to customize on your stores.
There are several Beta widgets from XMPie that provide commonly requested features to the storefront. These widgets are free to download, use and customize on your stores.
In addition to the beta sample widgets from XMPie provided above, you can purchase custom widgets from XMPie Professional Services or Develop you own widget that matches your exact requirements.
