Description
This might be more of a feature request than a bug. Let's say you want your normal default reading settings to 10 (Admin > Settings > Reading > Blog pages show at most), but you create a author template and you want to show some info about the author and just a few posts from this author. You cannot do this without custom code. I should be able to drop in the query block on the author template and adjust the number of items to show while still using the default query type.
Step-by-step reproduction instructions
- set (Admin > Settings > Reading > Blog pages show at most) to 10
- view blog index page and see 10 posts
- create template in site editor for "author archives"
- add query block to author template
- see there is no option to change query results to [anything]
