There have been a few issues and still there are some open issues about the Site editor 'drill-down' Navigator. Seems there is still no consensus on whether navigating backshould bring to the parent object or to the referring page Cc @youknowriad

I think I stumbled upon a new scenario where users will find themselves in an almost deed-end. After a page is moved to the trash, going back brings you to a state where the Navigator panel is totally blank.

Step-by-step reproduction instructions

• Go to Site editor > pages > any Page
• From the Action menu, move the page to the trash
• The navigator screen goes back to the Pages list
• Select another page and move it to the trash
• The navigator screen goes back to the Pages list
• Click the Back button placed before the Pages title
• The navigator screen is now blank (it attempts to go back to a page that is now in the trash)
• At this point the navigator doesn't show anything, not even the Back button
• The only workaround is to use the browser Back button or the keyboard shortcut to navigate back in the browser, on a macBook it's Cmd + [
• On the first Cmd + [ press, the Navigstor shows the Pages list
• Press Cmd + [ again
• The navigator screen is blank (it attempts to go back to a page that is now in the trash)
