Add smooth scroll animation when enabling providers to improve user experience.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • New Features

    • When enabling a provider in the settings, the selected provider now scrolls smoothly into view and is centered in the list for easier visibility.
  • Enhancements

    • Improved accessibility of provider items by adding a unique data attribute for each provider in the list.

Walkthrough

A new helper function, scrollToProvider, was introduced to scroll a provider element into view when enabled. The template now includes a data-provider-id attribute for each provider item. The toggleProviderStatus function was updated to conditionally trigger scrolling after enabling a provider, using Vue's nextTick for DOM update synchronization.

Changes

Provider Scrolling and Status Toggle Enhancements
src/renderer/src/components/settings/ModelProviderSettings.vue
Added scrollToProvider function, updated toggleProviderStatus to scroll when enabling, added data-provider-id to template, imported nextTick for DOM updates.

Poem

A hop, a scroll, a gentle view,
Now providers center, crisp and new.
With every tick, the DOM aligns,
And settings dance in tidy lines.
The rabbit cheers this tidy feat—
Smooth scrolling makes the UI neat! 🐇✨

114-122: Consider enhancing error handling and accessibility.

The scrollToProvider function implements smooth scrolling correctly, but could benefit from improved robustness and accessibility considerations.

Apply this diff to enhance the function:

 const scrollToProvider = (providerId: string) => {
   const element = document.querySelector(`[data-provider-id="${providerId}"]`)
   if (element) {
-    element.scrollIntoView({
-      behavior: 'smooth',
-      block: 'center'
-    })
+ // Check if user prefers reduced motion
+    const prefersReducedMotion = window.matchMedia('(prefers-reduced-motion: reduce)').matches
+
+    element.scrollIntoView({
+      behavior: prefersReducedMotion ? 'auto' : 'smooth',
+      block: 'center'
+    })
+  } else {
+ console.warn(`Provider element with ID "${providerId}" not found for scrolling`)
   }
 }

🔇 Additional comments (3)
src/renderer/src/components/settings/ModelProviderSettings.vue (3)

14-14: LGTM! Data attribute added correctly for DOM querying.

The data-provider-id attribute is properly bound to enable DOM querying by provider ID, which is essential for the scroll functionality.

72-72: LGTM! Correct import for DOM synchronization.

The nextTick import is properly added to handle DOM updates before scrolling, which is essential for the smooth scroll feature.

124-135: LGTM! Well-implemented conditional scroll logic with proper DOM synchronization.

The implementation correctly:

  • Stores the enable state before the async operation
  • Uses nextTick() to wait for DOM updates
  • Only scrolls when enabling (not disabling) providers
  • Maintains the existing functionality while adding the new feature

The logic aligns perfectly with the PR objective of adding auto-scroll when enabling providers.
