This was a hackathon project (eventually renamed PhishReport). The end product was a full stack webapp that read emails from a gmail inbox, extracted and produced data using text extraction and a pre-built sentiment analysis model, stored the data in a database, and then displayed the results in a simple dashboard built with React. Our main goal was to build a full stack app and host it live, and we achieved this. We planned the project in such a way that each team member was able to build their own part in parallel and they could be connected up near the end. This approach worked excellently; by agreeing on an overall approach, dividing up responsibilities, and communicating on integration details with the pre- and succeeding layers in the tech stack, we were able to greatly increase our output as a team without running into conflicts when contributing to the codebass. Building this project taught us a lot about collaboration. We were incredibly proud of how we used project planning and teamwork to integrate and host live on render.com a full stack web app.
