This feature should work on both YTM and YT. What I'm imagining is a toggle button on the channel homepage that allows to enable or disable this feature for that specific channel ID. A new cfg dialog widget or sub-dialog could show a list of the channels where this is activated and allow users to more easily deactivate it.
