Since my home wifi router uses NextDNS, there's no need of using private dns at all when at home, but there is when on mobile data. Currently I keep it on, to avoid forgetting to turn it on when leaving home. Downside is some apps need it disabled or don't detect it as even on causing an issue (i.e VPNs). VPN method solves some of this for me though.

Could you consider a small feature that would work similar to vpn method?

i.e Enable private dns when switch from wifi to mobile data, and disable when switching from mobile data to wifi
