Version information:

  • Platform: Linux Mint 22.2 'Zara'
  • Version: 25.12, x64 build.

Describe the bug
When the player clones a ship or aircraft, instead of the cost counting towards 'Vehicle Purchases', it counts towards 'Train Running Costs'.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behaviour:

  1. Start a new map.
  2. Purchase a ship or aircraft.
  3. Open the finances tab on the company screen and observe that the cost was correctly counted towards 'Vehicle Purchases'.
  4. On the ship or aircraft, select the 'Clone Vehicle' option from the crane drop down menu.
  5. In the finances tab, observe that the 'Vehicles Purchases' expense has not changed, but that there is now an entry for 'Train Running Costs'.

Expected behaviour
That the cost of cloning ships and aircraft counts towards 'Vehicle purchases', as it does for trains, buses and trucks.

Screenshots
Ships:
Two ship windows and a finances window showing -$88,882 for both 'Train Running Costs' and 'Vehicle Purchases'.

Aircraft:

Additional context
I originally observed this bug on North America (East) 1950 while expanding a shipping route from Cleveland Coal Mine to Detroit Steel Mill.
