Proposal: Korean (한국어) Translation of Official Documentation
TL;DR: I'd like to translate the official Hermes Agent docs into Korean and maintain the translation. Looking for the team's guidance on whether and how to do this.
Why this matters
Hermes Agent has a surprisingly active Korean user base right now. Korean developers are using Hermes daily, sharing tips in local communities, and recommending it to peers — but they're all working from English documentation. The language barrier is the single biggest friction point I hear about from Korean users who are trying to get started or go deeper.
A proper Korean translation (not machine-translated, but natural and accurate) would significantly lower that barrier.
What I'm proposing
I want to volunteer to translate and maintain a Korean version of the official documentation.
Scope: Start with the highest-traffic pages and expand incrementally:
- Getting started / installation
- Configuration
- CLI reference
- Skills overview
- Tool reference
- Provider setup
Hosting — I'm flexible on approach:
- A
docs/ko/ directory in this repo (if the team accepts community translations)
- A separate repo under the NousResearch org (e.g.,
hermes-agent-ko-docs)
- Whatever structure the maintainers prefer
Maintenance: I'm committed to keeping the translation current as the English docs evolve — not a one-time dump.
Questions for the team
- Is the team open to community-maintained documentation translations?
- Do you have a preferred hosting structure or workflow for localized docs?
- Should translations go through a review process (e.g., a second Korean speaker) before publishing?
- Are there existing i18n plans or infrastructure I should align with?

I'm a developer based in Korea and an active Hermes user. I use Hermes daily for development and have a solid understanding of the tool's architecture, workflows, and UX — which I think positions me well to produce translations that read naturally in Korean rather than feeling machine-generated.
