If ofborg finishes building before I get back, feel free to close this bug. I don't want to close it before then because I think that cancels ofborg actions.

Actually it's good that the arm64 build is running. That one has to rebuild pcre, which is the source of the problem. The x86_64 build is using a cached build output from hydra, an I suspect the source of the corruption is actually that cached output.

We'll see. Please don't nuke the arm64 build.

Well, that didn't work. The cross-build from arm failed for unrelated reasons, and the cross-build from x86_64 used a cached build from hydra.
