For some PV system designs with DC/DC converters (especially ones with batteries), SAM models voltage clipping when the real system's DC/DC converters would prevent the voltage from exceeding inverter input limits. A workaround is to set the inverter MPPT maximum voltage limit to a high value to avoid clipping losses. For the "Inverter CEC Database" inverter model option, it is not possible to edit the MPPT voltage limits, so the workaround requires using the "Inverter Datasheet" option.
Adding a "Copy inverter specs from currently selected inverter in library" button like the one for the module "CEC Performance Model with User Entered Specifications" would make this easier.
