Hey there, sorry I didn't respond to #209 in time before getting closed, but the new implementation works like a charm, so much it's making me do the definitive jump from Blender 4.1 to Blender 4.3 for good.

Anyway this is a nitpick but is there any chance to add back a "binding" button for cages? I know surface deform and mesh deform are different modifiers but that button helped a lot. Especially since if there's a subsurface modifier or solidify modifier included in some of the meshes, the vertices numbers "change" after activating them so you'll have to re bind them before rendering anyway.
