Describe the bug
Since upgrading to Maintainerr v3.9.0, the version indicator in the bottom-left corner of the sidebar no longer changes color / highlights when a newer version is available.
Previously, when a new release was available, the version icon/label in the lower-left sidebar area would visually notify the user, for example by turning yellow.
Now, the sidebar still shows the currently installed version, but there is no visible indication that an update is available.
The only way to know that a newer version exists is to manually go to:
Settings → About / Releases
There, Maintainerr correctly shows that newer versions are available.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Run Maintainerr v3.9.0
- Wait until a newer version is available
- Look at the version indicator in the bottom-left corner of the sidebar
- Notice that it does not highlight or visually notify that an update is available
- Go to
Settings → About / Releases
- See that newer versions are correctly listed there
Expected behavior
The version indicator in the bottom-left corner should visually notify the user when a newer Maintainerr version is available, as it did before v3.9.0.
For example, the icon/version label should turn yellow or otherwise clearly indicate that an update is available.
Screenshots
Attached screenshot shows Maintainerr running v3.9.0.
In the bottom-left corner, the sidebar still shows Maintainerr 3.9.0, but there is no visual update warning (fille yellow).
However, in Settings → Releases, newer versions are visible, including v3.10.0 and v3.10.1.
Device (please complete the following information):
- OS: Debian 13
- Hardware: Raspberry Pi 4
- Install method: Docker
- Maintainerr version: 3.9.0
- Server: Plex
Additional context
This appears to be only a UI/notification issue.
Maintainerr is still able to detect and display newer releases correctly in the Settings / Releases page, but the sidebar update indicator no longer warns the user automatically.
