Problem
I am asking to have locally available ics file. Currently I have subscribed to some online providers. That is working fine. I can hide events from those calendars easily, which is not possible for local calendar.
I can directly import and export local calendar. When importing it merges to the local and during export I have to export all the events. I wanted to separate events and the only possible way I can think of is separate calendar ?
Proposed Solution
I have seen browsers accessing local file like this sometimes file:///path/to/file.ext
- I am asking if it's possible to implement this in current ics adding option ?
- Also I found online ics cals cant be edited (I got it why) but I'm requesting, if it's possible to edit the local ics file then please do add that feature. Only local and one local calendar feels limited.
Alternatives Considered
Right now I am using Mixplorer and creating http server when I need to sync or add a new one. Then I turn of the sync.
Additional Context
I am using Fedora KDE as my desktop OS and in KDE I can add .ics file like this (KOrganizer) and also able to edit there. I don't have to edit the .ics file with a text editor.
I use Syncthing to sync some other stuffs, so if my proposed solution is added then we can have another way of syncing too.
