JabRef version

Other (please describe below)

Operating system

GNU / Linux

Details on version and operating system

ubuntu:22.04

Checked with the latest development build (copy version output from About dialog)

  • I made a backup of my libraries before testing the latest development version.
  • I have tested the latest development version and the problem persists

Steps to reproduce the behaviour

  1. Set the application language to Spanish (Español) and restart
  2. Start the entry table configuration walkthrough (“Personalizar tabla de entrada”)
  3. Proceed until the walkthrough step that prompts opening Preferences, with the Archivo / File menu open

Expected Behavior

  • Walkthrough tooltip/instruction text is fully localized to Spanish
  • The referenced UI label in the tooltip matches the Spanish menu item name (“Preferencias”)

Actual Behavior

  • Walkthrough tooltip shows English text: Click on "Preferences" while the menu item is Preferencias, creating a language mismatch and potential confusion.
