Summary

  • Archive the first-run UX active goal after all work items completed.
  • Add the first-run UX closeout record and learning record.
  • Update plan and learning indexes to point at the closeout artifacts.

Files added/changed

  • .uselesskey/goals/active.toml
  • .uselesskey/goals/archive/2026-05-first-run-ux.toml
  • plans/first-run-ux/closeout.md
  • plans/first-run-ux/README.md
  • docs/learnings/2026-05-first-run-ux.md
  • docs/learnings/README.md

Validation

  • cargo xtask user-path-smoke
  • cargo xtask doctor
  • cargo xtask spec-check --strict
  • cargo xtask docs-sync --check
  • cargo xtask typos
  • cargo xtask pr-lite
  • cargo xtask pr
  • git diff --check

Local doctor completed with warnings for the known missing Windows ASAN runtime and the intentionally dirty closeout branch. Generated smoke artifacts were removed from target/user-path-smoke, target/release-evidence/webhook, and target/claim-proof/webhook-contract-pack after validation.

Non-goals

  • No new fixture profiles, public claims, or README badges.
  • No release, publish, or shipper changes.
  • No historical no-panic baseline work.
  • No generated fixture payloads committed.

What this enables next

  • The first-run UX lane is historical state; the next lane can start from a fresh active goal instead of carrying this one forward.

🚦 How do rate limits work?
