This plugin to the PowerToys Run launcher searches Excel spreadsheets, Word documents, and (coming soon) more
Download and extract the latest release (ExcelSearch-[version]-[architecture].zip) in releases to %LOCALAPPDATA%/Microsoft/PowerToys/PowerToys Run/Plugins.
Open the PowerToys Run launcher (alt + space by default), and type xl: followed by the name (or part of the path) of a spreadsheet you'd like to open.
